The King’s Royal Rifle Corps Officer’s Full Dress Tunic, a post 1904 pattern tunic in dark green cloth, black braiding and frogging and scarlet facings, the twisted shoulder cords with a Major’s rank crowns, retailed by Messrs Pulford & Sons St James’s St. SW,. and named to Lieut RVC Bodley. KRR.; together with a plated whistle guard chains and whistle, the guard with pierced ‘Celer Et Audax’ by J&Co. (Jennens); and a very fine officer’s swagger stick by Swaine & Adeney Ltd, the finial in HM silver London 1914, the bulbous top embossed with the badge of the regiment; a brass military bugle dated 1963 mounted with a cap badge of the KRRC,very good condition (4) £150-200

R. V. C. Bodley, M.C. Temporary Lieutenant 14.9.1914, Temporary Captain 21.10.14 (Quartermaster), Captain 1916 with language qualification. The 1923 Army List shows him to be on the Reserve of Officers as a Major. M.C., W.W.I trio, Order of Wen-hoo 4th Class, Legion of Honour 5th Class, Order of the Black Star 4th Class, and Order of the Crown of Roumania 4th Class.
