An 18th.Century French hunting hanger, straight 55cm blade with single fuller struck with opposed fleur-de-lys armourer’s mark, polished cow-horn grip fluted brass pommel, fluted quillon block and down-turned shell guard, together with an 1897 pattern infantry officer’s sword etched blade with GVR cypher, the first lacking its knuckle-bow, the second its scabbard.
