Oliver Lionel Fuller was born in N.W. London on 5 October 1891. A Furniture Gilder by occupation, he served five years with the 1st/25th (City of London) Reserve Cyclist Battalion London Regiment, 1909-14, being discharged at the termination of his period of engagement. He attested for the 2nd/25th Battalion on 29 August 1914 and was promoted to Sergeant two days later. He was discharged to a commission in the 20th Battalion London Regiment on 26 November 1917. Serving in France with the battalion, he was captured on 24 March 1918. He died of heart failure following influenza in a hospital at Cologne on 18 October 1918. He was buried in Cologne Southern Cemetery. 2nd Lieutenant Fuller was the husband of Frances Lucy Fuller of “Langton”, Eaton Road, St. Albans.
