Serjeant Leonard Applebee, 20th Battalion London Regiment, entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 9 March 1915. He was discharged on 31 March 1916 on the termination of his period of engagement. Sold with 20th Battalion County of London Regiment Old Comrades Association membership card and Sergeants’ Mess card; 20th London Old Comades Association receipts (2) - for 1922 and 1938; Sergeant’s Mess receipt, 1912; letter re. medals, 5 July 1922; ‘T20 London’ shoulder title and 20th Batt. London Regiment cap badge; together with copied m.i.c. and an extract from The Kentish Mercury, 1 October 1915 which featured a picture of Applebee.
