Three: Private E. W. Howard, 20th Battalion London Regiment, died of wounds, 9 June 1915

Ernest William Howard lived at Catford and enlisted at Blackheath in October 1914. Serving with the 20th Battalion London Regiment, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war in March 1915. He was wounded by a gunshot to the stomach whilst serving in the trenches on 9 June 1915 and died later that day, aged 19 years. He was buried in the Noeux-les-Mnes Communal Cemetery Extension. Ernest William was the only son of Mr and Mrs S. Howard of 15 Nelgarde Road, Catford. Sold with copied research, including several newspaper extracts.
