Earle Squire was born at Long Ashton, Somerset, on 10 February 1908. He joined as a Boy 2nd Class on 30 October 1923, and enlisted for 12 years on his 18th birthday. He received his L.S. & G.C. medal on 17 February 1941, and a Bar to that medal on 25 July 1960. At the time of receiving his B.E.M. he was a Chief Petty Officer in H.M.S. Vanguard. Sold with research.
