Pair: Private D. Styles, Parachute Regiment

General Service 1962, 1 clasp, Northern Ireland (24469950 Pte., Para); South Atlantic 1982, with rosette (24469950 Pte., Para) mounted court style as worn, nearly extremely fine (2) £1200-1500

Private D. Styles served with “A” Company, 2nd Battalion Parachute Regiment in the battle for ‘Darwin’ and ‘Goose Green’. In the battle he is recorded as having reached a Private Tuffen also of “A” Company, who had been lying injured with two bullets in his head since the start of the action some hours previously. Styles was at length, able to reach him, dress his wounds and then remained with him for several hours, constantly talking to him to keep him from falling into a coma. Miraculously, Private Tuffen survived his injuries. Sold with copied research.
