Thomas Anderson served in the Monitoring Force in Rhodesia from December 1979 to March 1980, based at the 1st Regiment S.A.S. camp near Salisbury, and was one of nine cooks from the Army Catering Corps so employed. He was presented with his Rhodesia Medal by Brigadier Richard Cook at a special parade held at Simpson Barracks, Northampton; sold with a photocopied newspaper feature which includes a photograph of the Brigadier and Anderson.
