Edgar Joseph Day was born at Chelsea and lived at Battersea. He died of wounds in France and Flanders on 9 August 1918, aged 20 years, whilst serving with the 16th Battalion, London Regiment (Queen’s Westminster Rifles) and was buried at Terlincthun British Cemetery, France. He was the son of Walter and Harriet Jane Day of Westminster, London.
