Private Wilfred Carter was born in Wellington, New Zealand and enlisted at Whitehall, Middlesex. Serving with the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards he was killed in action, France/Flanders, on 10 May 1915, aged 24 years. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial.
