William Eilbeck, who originally enlisted in Stockton-on-Tees in the 5th Battalion, Durham Light Infantry, died of wounds on 14 June 1918, while serving in the 1/5th Battalion, London Regiment. The son of John and Elizabeth Eilbeck of Easington Colliery, Durham, he was 21 years of age and is buried in the Aubigny Communal Cemetery Extension, France.
