Corporal Edward Arthur Titchmarsh, Royal Engineers, entered his first theatre of war on 8 September 1914. He was discharged to a commission in April 1915. Appointed a 2nd Lieutenant with the 7th Rajputs, he served with them throughout the war and beyond, serving as an Acting Captain in 1918 and Captain in 1920. Sold with copied m.i.c.
