William Albert Day was born in Westminster, London. A Porter by occupation, he attested for service with the Gordon Highlanders at Aberdeen on 7 September 1892, aged 18 years, 9 months. With them he served in India, September 1894-September 1899 and in South Africa, September 1899-September 1902. He was discharged at Aberdeen in 1904. Sold with copied service papers.
