John White was born in Withycombe, Devon on 5 November 1874. Entering the Royal Navy in 1890, he served in the Coast Guard, 1903-14. With the onset of war he was recalled to the Royal Navy and saw service on
Mars and Theseus. Sold with some copied service details.
