Thomas Hancock was born in Basford, Nottingham on 22 June 1896. A Coal Miner by occupation he enlisted into the R.N.V.R. on 29 December 1917. With copied service paper and roll extract.

William Merchant served with the Scottish Horse and Cameron Highlanders, entering the Balkan theatre of war on 18 August 1915. With copied m.i.c.

Charles Gooch enlisted on 10 December 1915 and was discharged on 19 February 1919. Entitled to a Silver War Badge. With some copied service details.

James McCabe was born in Elswick, Northumberland on 23 May 1896. He enlisted into the R.F.C. on 12 October 1914. He qualified as a Gunner Observer in September 1916 and on 1 October was promoted to Flight Sergeant. He was discharged in 1921 on the termination of his period of engagement.
