New Zealand 1845-66, reverse undated (Capt. & Pay Mr. Fredk. Fereday, 68th Foot) with silver slip bar on ribbon, good very fine £350-400

Frederick Francis Fereday served with the Land Transport Corps in the Crimea subsequent to the fall of Sebastopol, from 10 November 1855 to 12 August 1856. He served with the 68th Light Infantry in the New Zealand War 1864-66. Appointed Paymaster 9 November 1855; Hon. Captain, 9 November 1860, and Hon. Major, 9 November 1870. Latterly with the 95th Foot.
