Harold Edward Barrett was born in and lived in Wood Green and enlisted at Farringdon Street. Serving with “D” Company, 3rd Battalion London Regiment (Royal Fusliers), he died of wounds on 6 July 1916. He was buried at the Le Treport Military Cemetery. He was the son of Edward William and Elizabeth Amelia Barrett.

Sold with a photograph of the recipent. Plaque in original card envelope and with fragmentary envelope addressed to ‘Mr E. W. Barrett, 71, Whittington Rd., Bowes Park, N.22’; also with medals’ card box lid and enclosure.
