Robert Anderson Taylor, a Cloth Inspector by occupation and a member of the 6th V.B. Royal Highlanders, enlisted into the Territorial Force at Dunfermline on 7 April 1908. As a Sergeant in the 7th Battalion Royal Highlanders he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war on 2 May 1915 and served with the B.E.F. until 1 December 1915. Returning home, he was discharged on 12 May 1917 and was subsequently awarded the Silver War Badge. Sold with copied service papers, m.i.c. and roll extracts.
