Medals to Hunt with a photograph of the recipient.

One ‘John Eyles’ on C.W.G.C. List - born and lived in Eversley, Hampshire; enlisted at Winchester. Serving with the 2nd Battalion Hampshire Regiment, he was killed in action at Gallipoli on 8 May 1915, aged 28 years. The son of Henry and Rosina Eyles of The Chequers, Eversley Cross; his name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial. Note: two other ‘J. Eyles’ on C.W.G.C. List.
