Evelyn Guy Whiteman was born in Sandhurst, Hawkhurst, Kent, and living at Dover, enlisted at Canterbury. Serving as a Serjeant with the 4th (Royal Irish) Dragoon Guards, he was killed in action on 6 September 1914, aged 24 years. Buried in the Perreuse Chateau Franco British National Cemetery; he was the son of Nelson and Eliza Hannah Whiteman of Dover, Kent. With copied research.
