Norman Reginald Walker was commissioned into the 3rd (Reserve) Battalion Royal Scots on 5 January 1916 and was then posted to the 1st Battalion. Promoted to Lieutenant in 1917 with the 7th Battalion, he entered the France/Flanders theatre of war being attached to the 10th Battalion King’s Own Scottish Borderers. He was killed in action on 23 August 1918, aged 23 years of age. Walker was buried in the Le Grand Hasard Military Cemetery, Morbecque. He was the only son of Edwin J and Elizabeth Pullar Petrie Walker of Edinburgh. Sold with copied m.i.c.
