A. P. Marsden was commissioned into the 3rd Battalion Royal Devonshire Yeomanry on 24 November 1915. In the Army List, April 1917, he is shown as serving in the 1st Battalion Royal Devonshire Yeomanry and in the December 1918 list is shown in the 1st Battalion Royal North Devon Yeomanry serving in the 16th Battalion Devonshire Regiment.
