Canada General Service 1866-70, 1 clasp, Fenian Raid 1866 (222 Pte. J. Lewis, 4/60 K.R.R.), engraved naming, some contact marks, very fine £240-280

John Lewis was born in Marnhull, Sturminster Newton, Dorset. A Labourer by occupation, he attested for the 60th Rifles at Sherborne on 28 October 1857, aged 19 years. Serving 20 years with the colours, of which 8 years, 9 months were in British North America. He was discharged at Winchester on 16 October 1878. Sold with copied service papers.
