The Royal Guelphic Order, G.C.H. (Military) Knight Grand Cross breast star in silver with gold and enamel centre and gold crossed sword hilts and blades, fitted with gold pin for wearing, unsigned but identical to known stars by Hamlett, contained in contemporary circular red leather case, the lid gold embossed ‘Sir Peter Halkett G.C.H.’, small part of one letter of legend lacking, otherwise extremely fine and scarce £3500-4000

Admiral Sir Peter Halkett, G.C.H., Royal Navy, 6th Baronet of Pitferran, Scotland. He commanded the Circe frigate at the battle of Camperdown in 1797, became Admiral of the Blue in 1837, and died in 1839.
