Army of India 1799-1826, 1 clasp, Ava (Bt. Captn. J. P. Nottidge, 12th N.I.), short hyphen reverse, officially impressed naming, naming rubbed, suspension refixed, some edge bruising and contact marks, nearly very fine £800-1000

Jeremiah Brock Nottidge, the son of John Nottidge, became an East India Company Infantry Cadet at Fort George in 1808 and was commissioned in the Madras Army shortly afterwards. Promoted to Lieutenant in January 1811 and Captain in April 1824; he attained the rank of Lieutenant-Colonel on the East Indies Staff in 1840. Possibly awarded the brevet rank of Captain for service in the First Burma War.
