East Africa, Edward VII, trial [?] Cent, 1908, in cupro-nickel, stamped with a small incuse c on both sides, 2.08g/12h (cf. KM. 5a; cf. R.J. Ford II, 224). Extremely fine and extremely rare (£200-300)

The c (for cupro-nickel?) is only partially visible on the reverse. It may well represent a trial striking for the cupro-nickel currency issues which began in 1909
