Edward III (1327-1377), Pre-Treaty period, Noble, series Gf, mm. cross 3 on rev. only, saltire before edward, ropes 3-2, late es, rev. pellet each side of top lis, lis in second quarter, small e in centre, saltire stops, 7.55g/4h (N 1182 (f); S 1490). Die flaw in reverse legend, has been removed from a circular mount and rather polished, otherwise good fine (£300-400)
