Early Anglo-Saxon Period, Primary series B, Sceatta, diademed head right within beaded circle, annulet before face, rev. bird above cross, annulets around, all within serpent circle, 1.21g/3h (cf. M 99ff; N 126; cf. S 776-7). Good very fine, very rare (£150-200)

Found at Ampney Crusis (Gloucestershire).

This die-pairing would seem to represent a mule between Series BX and BI, not represented in Metcalf
