Exeter mint, Shilling, 1644, mm. rose, from the same obv. die as previous, rev. oval scroll-garnished shield, 5.98g/5h (Besly C9; SCBI Brooker 1063, same dies; N 2575; S 3085). Striking splits at 4 and 8 o’clock, otherwise very fine, rare (£800-1,000)
