A good Prussian officer’s pickelhaube for the Veterinarian Corps, silver plate and fittings, the plate mounted with a smaller gilt eagle below the FR cypher, black patent-leather skull, square cut peaks, tall silver spike with pearl band, four gilt stars to support, national and state cockades, silver chinscales backed with black leather, retaining original leather sweatband, some minor crazing to skull and lacking silk lining, otherwise very good condition overall £750-800
