Royal Scots of Canada, 5th Battalion, a large selection of badges covering the period c1870-1930, comprising a bullion officer’s forage cap badge ‘5’, four Victorian white metal bonnet/glengarry badges, Thistle star pattern with Imperial QVC scrolls ‘Royal Highlanders’ ‘Of Canada’ central oval ‘Ne Obliviscaris’ enclosing the boar’s head over ‘5’(one has been poorly plated), another similar but in silver plate for the pouch belt with two screw fasteners (four originally), a large white metal boar’s period collar badge (one lug missing), two later large gilding metal boar’s head headdress badges ‘5’ below the torse and “Ne Obliviscaris’ scroll below, a later one with the ‘5’ removed, three and a half corresponding pairs of collar badges, a sheet brass numeral ‘5’, good overall condition (18) £100-120
