The Royal Scots of Canada, 5th Battalion. a very fine quality officer’s shoulder belt plate, the burnished gilt rectangular back plate with silver mounts comprising a Royal Duchess’es coronet over maple leaf sprays in the centre a boar’s head over ‘5’ over a scroll ‘Ne Obliviscaris’, at the bottom a scroll ‘The Royal Scots Of Cananda’, usual hook and stud fasteners; together with the companion waist belt plate, the rectangular gilt back plate with silver mounts being the boar’s head ‘5’ and scroll ‘Ne Obliviscaris’ (loose fastener section not present), the gilt rubbed on the second item otherwise very good condition (2) £250-350
