A complete British diplomats uniform circa1900, consisting of a black frock coat with gold bullion embroidered collar and cuffs, nine gilt buttons to front with king’s crown royal arms, matching trousers with gold lace stripes, cocked hat with gold lace trim, white shirt, collars and cuffs, white kid gloves, black patent-leather boots and polished wood trees, complete with gilt mounted court sword of correct pattern, the blade with all original finish complete with gold bullion sword knot, black patent-leather scabbard with copper-gilt mounts and foul weather carrying bag, sword sling and various other sundry items of kit, the whole contained within its black japaned travelling tin, the lid with owners name ‘E H Mulock’, mostly in very good condition overall £250-300
