A good Georgian midshipman's dirk of small proportions, the mounts of copper-gilt cross-guard chased with oak leaves ferrule with engraved bands, spirally ribbed tapering ivory grip, the 19cm blade of flattened diamond section retaining 100% blue and gilt decoration, complete with its copper-gilt scabbard chased with a stand of arms and herring-bone pattern, minor hairline cracks to grip and some service wear to gilding of reverse of scabbard, otherwise in fine condition throughout £400-450
