Dublin, Catholic University School of Medicine, a silver award medal by E. Johnson, arms in quadrilobe, rev. wreath, named (Medal in Medical Jurisprudence Awarded to Miss M.K. Gibson, 1902), hallmarked jf Birmingham 1902, 47mm. Several rim nicks and some scuffing, otherwise very fine (£50-70)

The Catholic University School of Medicine was founded in 1855 and soon earnt a successful reputation because its teaching was recognized as qualifying a student to sit the examinations for a license to practise. It was placed under a governing body of its own in 1892 and merged in the new University College, Dublin, in 1909
