Thomas Henry Marson was born in Forest Gate, Middlesex and lived and enlisted at Stratford, Essex. He served initially with the 8th Battalion London Regiment as ‘Private 6885’. Transferred to the 14th Battalion Royal Irish Rifles as ‘Private 44242’, he was killed in action on 7 June 1917, the first day of the Battle of Messines. He was buried in the Spanbroekmolen British Cemetery. He was the husband of Clare Marson of 73 Ham Park Road, Stratford, London.
