Portrait Miniature, approx. 63 x 47mm, in wood and gilt metal frame, 114 x 90mm., with gilt label, ‘Captain Percy Malin Pridmore, killed in action 21-9-1917 (sic)’; frame additionally inscribed, ‘Royal Warwickshire Regiment, 6th Territorial Battalion’, very good condition £100-120

Percy Malin Pridmore was born in Coventry on 7 January 1886 and enlisted in August 1914. Serving in the 2nd/6th Battalion Royal Warwickshire Regiment he was awarded the Military Cross for gallant conduct whilst in charge of a Trench Mortar Battery. He was killed in action by a shell explosion on 2 September 1917. He was buried in the Vlamertinghe New Military Cemetery. He was the son of Alexander Percy and Florence Louise Pridmore of Coventry and husband of Constance Margaret Mitchell (formerly Pridmore), also of Coventry. Sold with copied research.
