Memorial Plaque 1914-18 (Raymond David Stroud) very fine £120-160

Raymond David Stroud was born in Reading, Berkshire and living in Southampton, Hampshire, enlisted at Woldingham, Surrey. Serving as Private P.S.1387 in the 16th Battalion Middlesex Regiment (Public Schools Battalion), he was killed in action on the 1st day of the Battle of the Somme, 1 July 1918. Having no known grave, his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial.
