Corporation of Glasgow Bravery Medal, 1st type, silver, hallmarks for Glasgow 1924 (Peter McNaughton), complete with ‘Gallantry’ brooch bar, in Elkington case of issue, extremely fine £180-220

Peter McNaughton, of Bridge House, 97 Canal Street, Glasgow, aged 77 years, was awarded the Glasgow Bravery medal in Silver on 26 October 1926. ‘... who, on 19th August last, rescued a woman from drowning in the Forth and Clyde Canal at Canal Street, the woman having attempted to commit suicide’.
