Frederick Robert Burton was born in Spalding, Lincolnshire, and lived and enlisted at Alfreton. Serving with the 1st Battalion Royal Munster Fusiliers, he entered the Balkan theatre of war on 25 April 1915. He was killed in action in Gallipoli on 21 August 1915. His name is commemorated on the Helles Memorial. Sold with copied m.i.c., war diary extracts and other copied research.
