Queen’s South Africa 1899-1902, 3 clasps, Defence of Ladysmith, Laing’s Nek, Belfast (5185 Serjt. H. Morrison, Liverpool Regt.) extremely fine £160-200

William Morrison was born in Tamworth, Staffordshire. A Baker by trade, he attested for short service in the Liverpool Regiment at Birmingham on 6 February 1896, aged 19 years, 8 months. He served in Jamaica, December 1896-November 1897 and South Africa, November 1897-January 1903. For service in the Boer War he was awarded the Q.S.A. with three clasps and the K.S.A. with two. He was transferred to the Army Reserve in February 1903 and discharged on February 1908. Sold with copied service papers and roll extracts. .
