Samuel White was born at Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Leicestershire, and originally enlisted into the Royal Marines on 4 June 1796. He transferred to the 2nd Foot on 15 December 1797, and to the Grenadier Company of the 2nd Garrison Battalion on 2 May 1815. He was discharged in consequence of the reduction of the 2nd Garrison Battalion on 24 October 1816. Sold with copy discharge papers.
