Military General Service 1793-1814, 6 clasps, Martinique, Albuhera, Badajoz, Salamanca, Vittoria, Toulouse (W. Lamb, 7th Foot) edge bruise, otherwise good very fine £1800-2200

William Lamb was born at Leeds, Yorkshire, and enlisted at Wakefield on 5 November 1804, aged 18, for unlimited service. He served with the 1st Battalion at Martinique and in the Peninsula and was discharged at Londonderry on 11 November 1820, in consequence of ‘being under size and weakley, and in possession of an Order from the Right Honourable the Commander of the Forces, dated Royal Hospital Dublin 25 October 1820.’ He was admitted to Kilmainham Hospital as an out-pensioner on 29 November 1820, his conduct being described as ‘Drunken & irregular.’ He collected his Pension in the Leeds area and died on 22 August 1848.
