Military General Service 1793-1814, 6 clasps, Corunna, Salamanca, Pyrenees, Nive, Orthes, Toulouse (Donald Munro, 42nd Foot) suspension re-fixed, edge bruising and polished, good fine £1000-1200

Donald Munro was born in the Parish of Nigg, near Tain, Rosshire, and served in the Ross and Cromarty Fencibles from August 1798 until July 1802. He enlisted into the 42nd Foot on 2 May 1804, aged 26, for unlimited service. After service in the Peninsula and at Waterloo, he was discharged at Limerick on 14 June 1823, due to length of service and being worn out. Sold with copy discharge papers.
