Military General Service 1793-1814, 4 clasps, Pyrenees, Nivelle, Nive, Orthes (Anthony Bubb, Lieut. 61st Foot) good very fine £1600-1800

Anthony Bubb was serving in the Army as a Corporal in the Coldstream Guards when he applied to purchase the Ensigncy of one Samuel Slaney of the 61st Foot. Proceedings began in December 1811 and Bubb was gazetted Ensign in the regiment on 20 February 1812. He was promoted to Lieutenant in December 1813, but at the end of 1814 he was reduced at Dundalk and placed on half-pay. Sold with copy service record.
