Military General Service 1793-1814, 1 clasp, Java (Patrick Carroll, 89th Foot) good very fine £800-1000

Ex Eaton Collection 1880, Dalrymple White Collection 1946 and Elson Collection 1963. Also entitled to a medal for Ava. Another man of this name received a medal for Chrystler’s Farm.

Patrick Carroll was born at Rathkeale, Co. Limerick, and enlisted there on 24 March 1806. He served in the East Indies continuously from December 1808 until his discharge in India on 6 December 1822, due to rheumatism and general debility with a rupture. Sold with copy discharge papers.
