Sold at Sotheby in February 1886 and in Whitaker Collection 1890. 48 medals to this regiment, mostly with single clasp for Maida.

Benjamin Hammond was born in the Parish of Allathorpe, near Wakefield, Yorkshire, and enlisted for the 35th Foot at Beverly on 19 July 1799, aged 24, for unlimited service. He served 18 years 242 days as a Private and was discharged due to length of service at Winchester on 27 December 1817. Sold with copy discharge papers.
