Sold at Glendining’s in September 1923. Approximately 88 clasps issued for the attack and reduction of the Italian town of Gaieta.

Thomas Vernon served as a Quarter Gunner aboard the Berwick at this action. Another man of this name claimed a medal for Trafalgar as a Sergeant of Marines aboard the Dreadnought.
