Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Shilling, Gp B, mm. anchor (vertical, over castle over negro’s head on obv.), similar, rev. plume above square-topped shield, 5.83g/2h (Sharp B2/2; SCBI Brooker 428, same dies; N 2220; S 2785). Has been gilt and with some pitting from attempts to remove it, otherwise very fine, rare (£200-250)
