Charles I (1625-1649), Tower mint, Shilling, Gp B, mm. castle, bust with convex mantle, rev. similar, 5.85g/9h (Sharp B2/2; cf. SCBI Brooker 416-17; N 2220; S 2785). A piece of fine work, well-centred on a round flan, obverse with faint scrapes on bust, fine, reverse very fine, attractive blue/grey tone, very rare (£400-500)
